End TB Strategy

DEFINITION

The World Health Organization’s global strategy to end the tuberculosis epidemic by 2035. It was developed as a successor of the previous STOP TB strategy. The End TB strategy aims at reducing the number of TB deaths by 95% and the TB incidence rate by 90% between 2015 and 2035. It also pursues the elimination of catastrophic costs faced by TB-affected families by 2020.
